Site policy / Browser storage

Cookie Preferences

Control the preference saved by this site and understand what it does. Last updated: 21 February 2026.

What the site currently uses

The site’s own code does not set HTTP cookies or load analytics, advertising trackers or third-party embeds. It can save a preference in your browser’s localStorage when you use the controls below. LocalStorage is a browser storage technology, not a cookie, but it is covered here because it also keeps information on your device.

Accept and Essential Only currently have the same tracking outcome: no optional tracking is enabled. Accept does not provide blanket permission for unspecified future tools. If optional technologies are introduced, we will explain them and obtain any consent required before using them.

Your saved choice

JavaScript is needed to read or save a preference. No optional cookies are enabled.

You can change your choice at any time. Clearing it removes this site’s preference key; it does not clear unrelated browser data.

Storage inventory

Storage used by the site’s preference controls
ItemPurposeDuration
spritzpuzzlewhistl-cookie-choiceLocalStorage value: accepted or essential. Remembers your selection.Until cleared by you, your browser or the site’s Clear preference control.

The site script does not transmit this value to the publisher. Preference storage is separate for each browser profile and device, and may be unavailable in restrictive browsing modes. Reading articles does not require saving a choice.

Message drafts and clipboard

The contact message builder keeps its draft in the current page’s memory, not localStorage. Copying places the preview in your system clipboard only after you press Copy. Downloading creates a local plain-text file. Browser autofill, page restoration, clipboard history and downloaded-file retention depend on your own device and browser settings.

Managing storage through your browser

You can remove site data through your browser’s privacy settings or block localStorage. Doing so may prevent the preference from being remembered but will not prevent you reading the site. The Clear preference control affects only the named key above. It does not remove downloaded messages or clipboard contents.

Other websites and technical delivery

Source links take you to independent websites whose cookie practices we do not control. Ordinary network requests are still required to deliver this site’s pages and images; they are not cookies. For information about technical logs, correspondence and your rights, read Personal Data Explained.
